There are times in our lives when we get in a rut, we get stuck. Sometimes, like Jeep drivers, we relish in getting ourselves stuck while trying to drive through a mess that is deep. Other times we are like victims, lambs captured by our own choices to run from the Shepherd. Good news! The Shepherd has left everything in Heaven to come and find you and get you out of your mess. Most of us want a new marriage.  Or, at least we’ve thought about it.

We have all heard the statistic.  Over half of the marriages in the US end in divorce.  Over 70% of the folks who get a “new marriage” end up splitting up as well.  Are nearly half of us doomed to wait until “the third time is the charm?”  God says no.  His plan for you includes a happy, healthy marriage relationship.  But how can you get there?

What about all the folks who work hard to stay married, even though their relationships are nothing like what they expected when they said “I do.”  Is is wrong to want more from your relationship?  What does God say about that, and, if his plan is for me to live an abundant life in a fulfilling relationship…how can I get there from here?

How can we save our marriages?  Our families?  In fact, what can we do to actually have the kind of marriage that makes other people ask: “how do they do it?”

Beyond all the rhetoric and rumors, what does the Bible really have to say about marriage?  Tons, it turns out.  God wants your marriage – whether you are single, happily married or you’ve just about had enough – to  be better than you could ever imagine.

Believers are called to be the living example of the love and life of Christ each and every day.  But that does not mean that, for us, life gets any easier.  How, then, do we live lives that nurture the habits that can become our character…and our reputation to our community.

In January, come join The View Church as we explore what it means to be not just a believer, but an example of Jesus Christ to those who do not yet know him 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
